Weblog 18.8.06 The Cockroach incident and a lost key

Unfortunately I did not go to bed after watching Ace Ventura yesterday. Instead I watched two episodes of ER and finished the 5th season. I promise myself to not watch anymore ER for the next two weeks. Let`s see if I can keep that promise.

It is quite a coincidence that I find a cockroach in my room after the last episode of ER showed a woman with a cockroach caught in her ear. This terrible creature is hiding in a corner when I try to catch it. To prevent it from ever coming out again I stuff some paper in it and try to forget about the incident..

In the afternoon Sam and Flo will be the target of our research project in Consumer Behaviour. They have to buy groceries for a 150Aud and we have to monitor their behaviour during the process of decision making. It does not only sound boring, it is boring!

Later we take the train to Law`s place in King`s Cross. I haven`t been there yet, so I am quite surprised when we get there. Lonely Planet`s description fits quite well: “The cross is a bizarre cocktail of strip joints, night clubs, restaurants and drugs shaken and stirred. It attracts an odd mix of highlife, lowlife, sailors, tourists and suburbanities looking for a big night out.”

Unfortunately I loose my key in one of the various night clubs and therefore have to wake up Kathy at 1:00 am to get into my house.
