Weblog 26.08.06 Shark diving in Manly Beach

Today will be my first dive in Australia! Patrick and me are going to Manly to do two shore dives. The day does not begin good with us missing the ferry to Manly by two minutes. But the compensation is granted to us 30 minutes later with an amazing view of the harbour bridge and the city center with its Sky scrapers.

After refreshing my memory about the hand signals (my last dive was with Tanya in Panama March 2005) we enter the water. And I haven`t mentioned the best part yet: Patrick has brought a under water case for his camera. So he takes photos of both dives.

After a first dive with not so many spectacular sights the second dive is amazing with more than a dozen sharks swimming right next to us! In this case pictures say more than a thousand words…

This was just amazing. We are so happy on our way home as we run into an ALDI store. As this reminds me of home I go in to buy some chocolates…

Darling Alex,
it has been so long that I last read your blog. Forgive me, please, for delaying. I am just not used to this 'bog' business besides that I am very busy!
I have just read your last entry of the 26th Aug. Today is Aunty Omega's birthday and I hope you called or wrote. Nonetheless, I am so proud that you are making new experiences and I am with you in all your new endeavours. In a way you are doing all that I too wanted to do...so please go ahead but with caution! Keep it up and do not forget that academics is also just as important.
Love you very much,
your Mum
