Weblog entry February 12.-27. Alex is coming home!

Exactly 7 monthas after I had left a euphoric germany shortly after the World Cup I finally set foot on german soil again. What a feeling!

As more or less a conincidence Dad came in from Bangkok 15 minutes before me, so we met up in Frankfurt at the airport at 6 in the morning. But coming home did not mean a rest from all the travelling at all. In fact the days in Germany were going to be some of the most action filled off all.

The schedule:

Monday 12 Feb: Arrival, straight to Wuppertal to visit Grandma, home to see mom and prepare for job interview next day.

Tuesday 13 Feb: Job interview for an internship at Deutsche Post Inhouse Consulting (DHL) successful! Meet Carlos who has flown in from Valencia and Susanne for dinner and drinks.

Wednesday 14 Feb: The madness beginns! Karneval in Köln with crazy people arriving from Spain,Denmark, Switzerland and all over Germany.

Thursday 15 Feb to Sunday 18 Feb: Party every day. Spargelweg 8 is in the hands of the party crows. We party till even the hardest have to surrender!

Monday 19 Feb to Wednesday 21 Feb: Relaxing after these hard days. Off course I´ve got a cold.

Thursday 22 Feb: A visit to Germany is not complete without visiting my second home Mannheim. So on thursday I drive up to see old friends at the legendary Blizzard party in the Schneckenhof of our Uni. Although it was just for one night it felt a bit like on the good old days.

Friday 23 to Sunday 25 Feb: Back in Cologne I was again knocked out by my cold. There was no time to think about that on saturday when I went outwith my old school friends Bastian, Caglar and Andrea. Surely another night to remember.

Monday 26 to Tuesday 27 Feb: Merely back it was already time to leave Germany again on tuesday. But before that we had a nice family dinner at a posh restaurant. Then Tuesday evening the plane left via Munich to Shanghai. Ready for the next adventure!
