Brooklyn Bridge
Here is a fine piece of architecture. The Brooklyn Bridge. Built more than 80 years ago it is still beautiful and an icon of the city. We were just in time for the sunset. Just beautiful.....

Dearest Alexander, It is with great joy I read your blogsite today. I was missing you and wondering if I should ring you up. I love NY too.I loved Central Park and of course I was at the Met. I have great pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge, specially as a school group of sweet black children were on a day trip. The Twin Towers were there then and I have fond memories of taking the elevator up to the restaurant on the 1101 Floor to get a table. In June this year I was at Madison Square Garden and the Penn Station before I had took a bus to DC. In that one hour I did a quick walking tour of Broadway, went to the entrance of the Empire State Building , Mad.Square Garden, the fantastic Post Office Building, back to Penn stationand then boarded the bus heading for Washington. You will love DC. I did, specially, since George W. was a Free Mason and alot of the architecture is built with the geometry that is so much part of the FM Philosophy. Go early in the morning , about 7 a.m. and get the free tickets to go up the Washington Monument(called Monument and not like the other structures a Memorial as it was planned during the lifetime of G.W.and not postumously) On the right wing, ground floor, of the Lincoln Memorial on the far end of the Mall(Street) is the Lincoln Muaseum where besides other things the Martin Luther speech Video where he proclaims "I have a dream!" keeps being shown. you could miss this easily therefore watch out. A must do. I also loved the Korean Memorial, the Space and Aeronautical Museum and the Natural History Museum. I took the Hop -on-hop -off Touring Bus. I can go on forever. Nevertheless, just take in everything and enjoy yourself. I miss you and look forward to seeing you again on the 6th Sept in Koelle am Rhein. Take care my darling son, Mum
