On the agenda today: Getting an idea of the city and finding an apartment. The first part is easy, but the second is a killer.
The easy part first: The Uni is only 5 minutes walking distance from my hostel and huge in camparison to our german universities. It takes almost 45 minutes to get from one side of the campus to the other. After seeing the great hall,. Where the introduction of all international students will take place tomorrow I walk to Glebe to check the place out. It is Sunday, but in a mall all the shops are open and I get a prepaid card for my mobile and a Wireless card for my notebook. I am back in the globalized world.
In the evening I visit my first apartment. It is a big house with four people living in it. Unfortunately they have a ton of applicants, so hopes should not be to high. Spend the rest of the evening looking for other places on the net. Does not look good at all, but this is not the time to panic yet…
