Weblog entry 16.11.2007 Nevis - The ultimate Jump

As if skydiving was not enough today’s program promised an even bigger adrenalin rush. Held only by a few rubber bands I would throw myself out of a Gondola hanging 134m above the Nevis river bed. This Bungy jump is supposed to be one of the most thrilling in the world. The advise from the instructor: When you stand on that edge do not think. Just dive out there!

That is exactly what I did. The feeling when you advance towards the ground at 200km/h is just incredible. The worst part for me though was coming up again, as it is only then that you realize that your life is in the hands of one carabiner and a thin cord that pulls you up again…
